Character Profiles and Final Piece

Alien Profile

Hero Profile

We're coming to the end of the first year of Game Art so this week I have been finishing off work for my character concepts assignment.  As you can see here these are the character profiles for the alien, hero and the sidekick.

Sidekick Profile

This week I have also been working on my final piece, In the final piece we need to show the hero and sidekick encountering the alien.
I did my final piece over four days, as you can see in the first picture I have drawn up the hero and alien getting ready to fight each other.

For the second day I worked on the background and added the sidekick. I also added some effects like the smoke coming out of the small hole in the rock and the bright beam coming from the sidekick.

On the third day I mainly worked on the background by adding some textures to give them a rocky look while adding some details to the characters.







On the final day I went over the sketch lines with a neater line and added textures to the characters. I'm really happy on how this turned out seeing that this is the first time I've drawn a background.

Now that I've done all the work needed for the character concept assignment I will be working on my level for the next couple of weeks before hand in so I will keep you updated.
