Last week I shown off a few pictures of my level. Due to problems with scaling and snapping I decided it would easier for me to start over.
So far I have built the downstairs which has a living room, kitchen, office, toilet and a box room. I will show more of these rooms in the up and coming weeks.
Due to only starting over yesterday, I'm still working on the upstairs of my level. I will have this finished for my next post but the upstairs will have two bedrooms for the children, a master bedroom and a bathroom.
This is a picture that I have been working on this week, its very simple but I think some more work could be done. I want the staircase to look broken as well as light shining in from the window above the staircase. The wall will look dirty but i'll add detail like this at a later date.
This week I have also been working on some more character designs. Mainly on the Alien Race and the 'Good Guy'. So far for the Alien Race I'm going for a classic alien look with Sci-Fi looking amour and weapons. As you can see in this picture I really like the design with amour and the large gun, so far this is my favorite design.
In this picture even though its mainly the same classic alien look. I am going for something a little different. These are only quick sketches so I could change my mind at anytime but I'm really happy on how these are turning out so far.
Now for my 'Good Guy' I'm going for a more human/robot kind of look or at least a human in a robot looking suit. As you can see in most of these designs thats normally the case.
I'm thinking of maybe doing a design of half human and half robot I think this would be really good and it would give the 'Good Guy' an interesting back story.
This is a drawing that I have been working on today. I through I would do a design which shows different stages of the drawing. I really like it, I think I'm going to do this with more of my sketches. I'm really happy with this design. I do think the body needs some work but apart from that this could be good for a final design.
Anyways that's everything for now,
Thanks for reading,
Daniel Bibby
